Clairpointe Family Dental in St Clair Shores, MI is a full-service family and cosmetic dental practice whose goal is to provide optimal treatment to our patients and their loved ones. We are firm in our belief that a healthy body starts with a healthy mouth, and are committed to educating our patients on the best ways to keep their smiles beautiful for life. Our dedication to providing impeccable dental care and thoughtful customer service has been recognized a number of times in the community, and we are deeply grateful. We were the winner of the 2017 Macomb Daily Readers Choice “Best of the Best Award” and the 2012 “Best Dentist” for the St Clair Shores Patch Readers Choice Award, as well as the individual awards our Dentists have received. Our Caring Staff
Dr. Rita Zohrob
Dr. Rita is a University of Detroit Dental School graduate (1986) and joined Dr. Bud Walters in 1988. Her goal is to assist patients attain optimum oral health, and Dr. Rita takes pride in changing people’s lives by improving the appearance and function of their teeth. With a warm and welcoming manner, Dr. Rita quickly puts patients at ease with her down-to-earth style, and considers patients as much a friend as a patient. Her husband, Marwan, is a civil engineer and they have two grown children, Danielle and Jacob. She enjoys reading, walking with friends, and traveling to Las Vegas to visit her sister and extended family. She hopes to travel more in the future, it’s time to see the world! Dr. Rita was named Macomb Daily Best of the Best Individual Dentist 3 out of the last 5 years, including this year.
Dr. Danielle Gehlert
A lifelong ‘Eastsider’, Dr. Gehlert grew up in Eastpointe and received her undergraduate degree from U of M in 1987, then continued her education and graduated in 1991 from U of M Dental School. She is a member of the American Dental Association, The Michigan Dental Association, and the Macomb Dental Society. Dr. Gehlert has survived cancer twice. Her experience as a child gives her a profound sense of empathy that she shares with patients every day. With a genuine gift for putting patients at ease, she is a champion of healthy and beautiful smiles. Dr. Gehlert is skilled in all phases of dentistry, with particular interest in cosmetic dentistry(link to cosmetic page). Her free time is devoted to her husband and three children, and she is active in Our Lady Star of the Sea church. Dr. Gehlert enjoys swimming, skiing, and gourmet cooking. Dr. Gehlert was voted as an Hour Magazine “Top Dentist” in 2016.
Dr. Reem Israel
Dr. Reem Israel grew up in Southfield, MI, and found her love for dentistry at the young age of 10. When she immigrated to America in 2001, She was able to see how much of an impact dentistry had on her overall smile and oral health. She earned her B.A in Biological Sciences from Wayne State University. Dr. Israel then pursued her dental education at University of Detroit Mercy Dental School where she graduated in the top 10% of her graduating class. In her free time, Dr. Israel enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Israel is a member of the Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Clear Aligners. She takes pride in providing a wide range of dental services to the highest standard of care. In addition to her clinical skills, Dr. Israel is a careful listener and strives to meet each person’s individual needs. Dr. Israel is excited to join the Clairpointe Dental family to help transform smiles and provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages.
Dr. Grant Walters
Though he passed away in 2013, Dr. Walters who founded the practice in 1968 in a small office on Jefferson Avenue in St. Clair Shores, lives on in our everyday interactions. He was a beloved family dentist with a fine reputation in the community. He held himself and his employees to the highest standard of patient care, and to this day we strive to adhere to his expectations and maintain the excellent quality of care that our patients deserve. Clairpointe Family Dental’s Mission Statement emphasizes our pledge to our patients, the community, and each other.
